Some really good progress going on! www.cattleandcrops.com/roadmap#rm41Take a look though all the tabs guys if you never have. A lot of them have a drop down list if there is a number beside the header. Gives you an idea of the scope of what their working on.

HAHA...one of the titles is "creating your own animal species".. awesome!!
I think I will create a shigow... it eats only grass, grows large and wooly, produces large amounts of wool, manure and milk and can be sold as meat.. oh and a high reproduction rate close to that of rabbits.....

If you listen really close they give a huge hint about early release when the lady at the end is talking about her "cat."

Yeah looks good, the moddeling of the tractor looks very nice, although graphically I don't see a huge overall difference from FS. I don't know how much of that GPS choppy sounding dialogue I would want to listen to, I personally would rather read text than listen to that haha. Are any of you guys here signed up for the early release?

From what I've read it's supposed to be the same graphically as FS now, but the dynamics, engine, abilities, AI, farm management and the list goes on is what has alot of people really hyped up about it. I've been thinking about signing up for early release but I'm a little hesitant about it, plus early release is going to be only a VERY small portion of the game.

I'm not signing up for early release. I've done that twice and regretted it both times. If that's really the way characters are gonna look act and talk in game it's gonna get me all red and I'll have to quit playing. That's not something that need to be in a farming game. Nothing wrong with the old FS mission notification where you get a pop up. I've absolutely no desire to speak to badly animated robots. All the IC controls and all that don't do much for me but it doesn't bother me. I do like the idea of soil mechanics but I'm afraid it's gonna be like what I hate about the crop destruction mod. The collision won't be programmed well and you will be tire track outside where the tires actually are. I do have hog hopes for this game and I love that it appears GPS and courseplay are gonna be built in so I hope all my fears are for nothing.

Your reservations are spot on, this company and game have great potential and ideas. The problem is that they are already starting off on kind of a rocky ledge with not meeting their publicly released goals for release dates. The clip you saw was just their first gameplay devlog which was only a test and to prove the community to see what their reactions are. Hopefully all the hype will be worth it but if not then we've still got the FS series which is still my favorite.

not crazy about the choppy dialogue but I think it looks better than FS... the wind in the grass and trees and deformable terrain are those things that adds to the games realism....

They have a very detailed Manual Attach option... Raising/lowering the 3-point arms, even connecting the hydraulic hoses..
Looks very cool, but I doubt I'll want to take that much time every time I need to hook something up!!

You beat me to it mdoss, I just watched this two minutes ago lol. I agree, I'm all for realism but at the same time I think only a small portion of players will want to fiddle with this, and I suspect most of them have some farm related experience. Most city folk haven't the slightest clue on how to hook up an implement and I believe it could cause a lot of confusion if this was a standard option. Watching the vid that was posted prior to this one I think they may have thought of that because it looks like in that vid that he just backed up and attached FS style so probably an optional thing but I guess we have to wait and see.
