Hey all, I've been excited to see CNC come out and what it will entail but there hasn't been any real news about the progress in awhile, the last update I saw was that the early release was delayed. By chance has anyone heard different?

The developers of this game I find are very hush hush.... they release info in little drips when really they should be hyping it up as much as they can. On the other hand...possibly they want to blow everyone away when they are ready.

This cool little link shows you their current progress on several different aspects of development, from game play, to tractors, to employee management, to physics, to multiplayer, sounds, etc..... Looks like they are getting along well in lots of areas, but not much of anything is at 100% yet...

Thanks for the input guys! mdoss, I saw the road map you're referring to and you're right that it looks like they are trucking along but I'm just curious as to why they quit giving written updates and devlogs. I'm really looking forward to seeing if this game will assist Giants in lighting a fire under their butts to push their FS series in a holy new level for fs19.

I'm assuming their just in crunch mode for the EA release and hopefully after that they will start some serious promotion tactics. I'd honestly be happy if all the game did for me is make FS better. I'm interested in all the realistic ground stuff but if it isn't really well done it's gonna be more of a turn off than a beneficial feature. There's something oddly satisfying in the simplicity of FS but there hasn't been much change since I started with FS 13. So I'm glad for the competition and will at least give CNC a try.

I agree with you about what kind of effects it will have for the future FS series but honestly I am really interested in CNCs worker management system, ground response and seasons change. Supposedly the ground response is supposed to reflect season.

Supposedly the ground response is supposed to reflect season. I agree I'm looking forward to those aspects too. Their saying you can create routes from the map so their pathfinding must be spot on. And the workers management I agree shows some rpg aspects that I like.

With all this happening, GIANTS is going to get pretty stressed with their customers saying "it isn't like Cattle and Crops." GIANTS is going to have some REAL competition!

wow...talk about giving Farming Simulator a direct kick to the teeth... old technology... new technology... Giants is really going to have to address this... they have let it slide long enough. With everything I have seen so far, if this came to console I don't think there is any choice..

Yep it looks like this is the end of their downhill coast. It's been the same thing for too long and although the games still good it's not great enough keep people just on name especially if CNC starts promoting heavy.

Cool video. Again, I think it's that kind of attention to detail that the Farming Simulator franchise is lacking. If this game doesn't make it to console, I just may have to go buy a nice PC!

No rain in buildings and equipment, that is pretty neat! I too hope this game makes it to consoles, from what I read they do plan on it but they want to get it working good on PC first. The only problem for me that I see on consoles is the equipment lineup is pretty sparse, PC players will mod the crap out of this game so they won't have to worry about that but for us poor console players it will be the same old story with mods. The one place I think they are going to have FS beat is their built in course play and AI functionality, if you haven't seen it yet check this out. youtu.be/9XJqMW1Slu4

The equipment really isn't a big deal for me... as long as there is equipment to perfom all the game functions as required... I long for more depth in gameplay and maps that are as beautiful as a Kurosawa film...
