I have read many posts and watched numerous videos on how to get headers off of their trailers and none seem to work. If any of you have the formula please help.

I have read many posts and watched numerous videos on how to get headers off of their trailers and none seem to work. If any of you have the formula please help. The only thing I can think of if you have tried everything else is to use a tractor to pull the trailer out from under the header while it is attached to a combine.

Thanks canadafarms, I have tried that. It didn't work for me. I have loaded header from both sides of trailer. I have had it lower than the combine, it had to be a lot lower, and I could get it off but had to drag the trailer around with it until it released. Not very realistic. I'm sure there is one little thing I'm not doing right. Just not sure what it is.

Could you tell me what model of header, what model of combine and what trailer model you are using. I will try them out and see if I can figure out a better solution. I know they can be kind of a pain to use that's why I usually opt for a header with a built in trailer. It's kind of a shame though because you should be able to use any header in the game without these issues.

I tried a header trailer once and that was enough to make the decision to only use headers that had the trailer built in. they did a poor job with them.

I appreciate the offer canadafarms. I've tried them all and they all have issues. I have put bigger, built in trailer, headers on game starting combines. Problem is pipe is not long enough to reach tipper trailer. So I have been cheating enough money in to buy the biggest Case or Holland combine so I can have the trailerable header. As I've said before I can't even begin to understand how a mod is made so none of what I'm saying is meant to criticize. I'm just wondering if there is something I'm missing.

Yeah, I don't think there is a good answer to the header trailers. I've heard to only put them on just enough so they stay on then its easier to get them off and I have also heard to unfold the combine because it lifts higher but never tested these. In 13 you had to use them for the big case and that was the biggest combine, it wasn't an issue getting it off most of the time but if you didn't have it on just right it would fly off all the time. In 15 once they gave us the headers with built in transport I never looked back..... For most of 13 I didn't know you could reset equipment so I am still shell shocked from spending hours trying to recover that header and other equipment from some pretty nasty places on Hagenstedt lol.

the header trailers have been an issue since day 1... and if you can't pull the trailer out with a tractor I always just reset the trailer... its so much easier... The smallest MF combine I find to be the worst... both the Rost'ies I have never had a problem with

Ok I did a little testing. I hadn't done it in the past because I'm a "farmer" not an R&D guy and little testing is the operative words. The MF FreeFlow 25 with the MF Activa 7347 S with the Leguan 24 works the best so far. That's the combination given to us on Lawfolds. Tried it with trailer a little lower and higher and it worked. Tried driving around to shake it off and header stayed on trailer. So I'm going back to being a "farmer" and use this combo. Thanks for all your help. Just want to say I appreciate this forum. Now time to go get dirty.
