Been thinking about this map since I downloaded it the other morning after work. Been working all weekend so I won't be able to play it till Monday night and probably be on it all night Tuesday night till early morning. I'm not sure yet if I want to do it but wanted to get an idea if some of the regular guys I'm familiar with or anyone you all are familiar with would he interested in a server running this thing. I'm not interested in running an open server but I would love to have a regular group of guys to play with or at least team up together on this map with. Not going to post on the other forum cause I'm thinking a smaller group of peeps depending on interest and whether or not some of us thing we could have a mutually beneficial farming partnership without shenanigans.

I would be interested in it possibly, I know on Xbox One my son and I farm together and have alot of fun, but I don't have a mic or any fancy stuff like that lol. |

A mic isn't really a must have at all. It can be fun sometimes to chat it up but I play odd hours compared to most people in the states at least. I'm thinking more from a progress point of view. A person could hop on the server for however much time they wanted to spend there and do whatever needs done. We could communicate here as far as what goals or ideas anyone had in mind and with a few poeple working on it we could build it up into something pretty impressive even if no one was ever on at the same time. Idk I've never played FS in multiplayer other than me and a buddy joining each others savegames once in a while in FS13. Sounds kind of fun.

I need to look more into that because the sites I've looked at offer so much space for mods so I'm not sure if their stored on the server and that's it or if the pack is just available there for anyone to download that wants to join.

Hey man I understand. I'm still considering this so I'm gonna do some more looking into what it takes to run a server cost wise and the process of getting mod's loaded. I'd be renting a server because I don't have a server machine to use the dedicated software on. I'd also be into setting up a free voice server but I'm not sure I'd do it if there weren't a few people interested. It seem's like it would be best as a group effort. We'll keep up some discussion about it going forward you it's something you'd like to do. My brother has expressed some interest in switching from fs13 on the ps3 to fs17 on the PC so If he ever does it's definitely something I will do.

Hey guys quick glancing through this post I noticed you where talking about starting a server . there is an easier way to get things done on a game without a mic. Use an app called discord. Free to download free to sign up and free to have a server. You cane leave text messages on it so others know what's been getting done. If you are on at the same time you can use the mic through it and people without a mic can still hear you so you work stuff out. If you consider that and need help with discord give me a shout I will help you out with it . might even start a server and setup for you to use. I already have a server running on it as I used to PC game then a lightening strike fried my processor so I dont use the PC now. But setup is pretty easy and straightforward . will gladly help if needed .

I couldn't agree more with markare, Discord is sweet! Much better than Teamspeak and Skype. I have a Discord setup for this forum as well. |

Hey guys, thank you for all your input.whwn the idea for this was originally brought up I thought it would be a fun idea, if anyone is interested in this I think we could have a ton of fun with it. Just a thought.

Well, I could play with you guys, but only on the weekends, since I don't have school and after school on weekdays I like to play my own savegame. I mean if you want to start one, I wouldn't mind helping out.  |

JD318 The video you posted look's like it's for setting up a server on a PC you own. I'm looking at using a hosting site for a couple of different reasons. I won't have to purchase another copy of FS or any DLC I use. I't won't use my own PC which wouldn't like that at all, and I'll just be able to un rent it if need be.
