I bet this was so much more special since it was 150. Usually, everything by 50 is something to be proud about, like 50th anniversary's, 100th, 150th, 200th, etc. So wow, I did not know we are going to 250 in 9 years! Holy cow! I will be about 27, 28 by then lol.

Friday is always a good day to look forward to right? Weekend!
But today, for me, it is even better and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.. as my new car is finally ready for collection! 3 months waiting while they built it. But finally...
Question is, as a responsible adult, gee, should I be this excited? Probably not, lol. But oh well..

It's just a station wagon. More practical for us, as we got a big dog.
Congrats with the mower... is it a tractor?

Nah, nothing too big. It's a John Deere GX345. The grandchild of the 318, which I am currently selling btw. I will get a picture of it soon.

You need a mower like mine JohnDeere318. It's a Ferris IZ3200, 72" cut, zero turn and it even has suspension, if it's smooth and if my blades are sharp I can cut at 10+ MPH

I am a station wagon kinda person...but I prefer the term "estate" or "shooting brake"... some are epic... my current dream estate would be the 2014 MB E63 AMG S 4MATIC

Probably pretty pricey though for my budget. I will have to check into one of those for my next mower. That suspension would definitely help on bumps and my back. I actually have never rid nor driven a zero turn. Once these machines get cheaper, I think I will purchase one of these. I would really love a 72 inch cut *drooling*.

Man, that would be awesome to go 10! But that's what zero turns are known for. I wonder if they have a super small main pulley that makes them spin those blades so fast, you can 10mph. Plus, that extra horse is a lot better than my 20 horse v-twin.

It is nice being able to cruise along that's for sure, but even with the suspension my yard is too rough to do top speed. The people who built the yard before I bought it never properly ripped up the yard and planted grass, they just built a house on the pasture and started cutting the grass, so that is on the to do list.....someday haha. The Ferris is for sure more expensive.....I don't even want to say how much I paid for it lol. Mine would be considered commercial grade as opposed to what most home owners would have are residential grade, so a much heavier built machine and something that would be more commonly purchased by a town or a county rather than a home owner. My yard is like 6 acres and with a mower like a JD 318 it would probably take me 10-12 hours to cut but with my mower I can do it in 2.5-3hrs, and at the time I bought my place I was so busy with my business I just didn't have a full day to cut grass..... I could barley find the time to do it with my mower, in fact I had to teach the wife to use it because I couldn't always get to it haha. I was told when I bought it that the blade speed is 5 times that of a regular mower.....I think, that was a while ago. It sounds like the mowers in FS when you fire it up haha. Also I should correct myself, mine is a IZ3100, the new model is a 3200, same thing but I think the new one might have a couple more HP. As far as the zero turn JohnDeere318, once you have one you will never go back to the tractor style, they are just so much more maneuverable, mine is the first one I ever tried, we always had ones like yours growing up on the farm but now that I have this I would never even think about another one like that haha.

I feel just a little jealous...
...I'll just go hide my tiny push mower......
Back to AMG, yeah, I do like those older Mercs. Liked the next gen too with rounded lights, but the newer versions just seem dull with no character. Too much the same as other executive class cars. The SLS is nice anyway but the AMG version.. well.. lets go crazy, lol.

yeah... i prefer last, last gen Merc styling to new gens. We had a 2012 C300 4matic but the wife wanted an SUV so we traded it on a GLK350 4 matic which is actually slightly quicker...so I don't mind.. just don't expect to pick anything up in it..
