@johndeere318, Do you have and marching drum line experience? I played the quads (tenors) in high school and college. Now my 14 yr Old son is trying out for high school drum line. This is the tenor music for tryouts... It's been a while since I read this kind of drum music!! I'm having to go slowly, line by line, note by note, figuring out the rhythms and which drum it is... I'm slowly getting it, but damn, that's a tough piece for a 1st year tryout!! I have never played with one of those drums before. To be honest about that sheet music, I can't even read sheet music, I just listen to a song by sound and just learn more and more techniques to make my own made up songs. I usually play, my own created songs, about 5-6 songs a day (3-4 minutes average) with the guitar playing in my head and me singing at the same with lyrics that I come up with on the fly. I do one or two covers also every made up album I do (can usually get in 3 made up albums lol). Sometimes I have really good days where they could be singles, other days, are rather just boring and sometimes just generic made up songs. Usually, when I have those days, my songs drag on and usually end up being in the 4-5 minutes. Sorry if I am blabbing on about this.

Lol. I'm pretty much the same way.. give me a recording of it and I can figure it out and play it in no time!! But reading music, I have to sit and break it down note by note, and it takes forever... I can play a little piano, but can't read the music (key signatures and crap confuse the hell out of me), but I know lots of chords, and can figure out a good bit of a song just by listening and repeating... Yeah, that reading music stuff gives me a headache..

It is kind of random, but is your profile picture a Allis Chalmers 7020 by any chance, Preble?
We used to use one, but then the pto started slipping, and it wouldn't start anymore.
It sucked when dad couldn`t start it to put the grain in the bin during harvest, and all of the combines were waiting on him.
Now it is parked, but it still looks nice.

Pretty close man it's a 7010. This one isn't ours, it was sold long ago but I spent a lot of time in one as a kid and figured I'd make it my pic. We had the 7010 and a 7040 as our field tractors.

And what is the story to the game, is this one of those post apocalyptic type games? I got that its a survival game but what do you really do? Is it just hunting or do you have to battle zombies or what?

canadafarms ... it is a post apocalyptic survival game...and the vid IS gameplay...no zombies or anything..its crafting and straight up survival in the wilderness... and you can dial up or down the survival level from not so bad... to everything including nature itself wants you dead.. you need to eat, drink, not freeze to death, not get hurt or eaten and just survive for as long as possible

Ah I see, looks interesting..... just don't know that I could rip myself away from farming to play it lol. Never been much for FPS games but we will see. Time is my biggest problem really and FS takes pretty much all my free time haha.

I just have to ask cr41g, I of course respect your opinion as well and you don't really seem to like any of the stock maps. So if Giants were to create the ideal map just for you, what would that look like?

I dont like then stock maps and the "squares".. flat level ground for the most part laid out to satisfy the peculiarities of the games AI... do a few headland passes and then turn the AI loose. Maps need more to do..variations on the slow bee pack.. staged construction that occurs over "days" not instantly.. fields that are not in use where trees have to be removed before you can plow or start using them.. removeable buildings...
I don't do pretty.. so the buildings and things that look like they were built and painted yesterday or copied from Farmville don't work for me... atmosphere, originality and realism are everything to me. Fields that are used right up to the fence, road or ditch and use every square meter available because unused land is unused crops.. which is unearned income IRL
Some of the maps that I do or did like for various reasons
1. Sosnovka.. the whole atmosphere and run down feeling of the map I found very appealing.. just not the squares 2. Colborough Park Farms.. based on an actual area,...what more can I say.. the map has been paradise for me. 3. Chellington.. again the feel.. the somewhat used but not rundown nature of the map.. strewn abandoned things and junk this map has also seen a lot of hours from me. 4. Drumard Farm.. atmo again 5. Old Steams...atmo
some maps in the modhub that I cannot use but look good... Loess Hill Country, Gorale, Gemeinde Rade, Dutch Polder
Maps to me that look rubbish... GCV, Westbridge, Giants Island 09, Woodmeadow Farm, Rattlesnake Valley, North West Texas
maybe I am just too picky and my standards are just too high... or maybe I AM just an ass

I think everyone has a particular standard, whereas I kind of like NW Texas, it just depends where you are from, what you've experienced, and what you been a customaed to. I too, found Sosnovka very appealing, and one of the things that saved FS15. Coldborough Park farm is magnificent, just don't use it too often in regards to my liking of equipment size.

I'll throw my two cents in from my experience. The field layouts in GCV had about the most unrealistic feel I've seen in a map for a while but I love the decorating. That's probably why I like Cherry Hills so much. The scenery feels like GCV but the layout feels believable. I switched to PC for rattlesnake valley and the more I played it the less I liked it. The map is beautiful but it felt like extra effort was put into making it difficult to maneuver. Narrow roads that are sunken in. A fence around literally everything especially in front of each exit so using a semi made me want to set myself on fire. The main farm felt like a lumber yard and the straw sell point can't be reached without a bulldozer. And there was trash everywhere. I'm pretty sure there isn't a broken down bulldozer every 50 ft in Montana lol. SOMS2 has a special talent for maps but that map made me angry lol.
