Don't know if we need a chat thread or not, but figured it might be a good place to direct our off topic side chat, to avoid derailing original posts. Anyway, back to the Atari controller subject... I remember as a kid (probably 10 or less) wearing these controllers out.. I remember when the joystick would start not responding well, taking the thing apart and finding a small metal connection that was separating on the little board. I took some speaker wire, and taped it to the small gap that was forming to "save" the metal connection. The joystick then worked like a charm!! Dont know if my 10-yr old son would be that ingenuitive nowadays. He would just come crying to Daddy - "My controller broke! Can you buy me a new one?" Anyway, good memories seeing that controller!!

If only nowadays controllers where that easy to fix! lol I remember a few years back, reviving my grandma's Atari 2600, and it had the same exact joystick like that, but I noticed a different one that had a yellow button and it was more roundy looking, not so squared-off like the one in the picture.

Yeah I remember our youngest having one just like it, can't remember what happened to it though but have had plenty of different one's since that one. Haven't been loyal to any one maker of consoles as they're all good for the different game that came out either with them. Mind you the first game I played was pong on the tele.....two bats and a square ball not bad for a black and white game...lol kid's don't know what they're missing out on

Ah cool! I have a snare drum head from Mapex. I use it for my hip-hop beats when playing Nu Metal, have one snare for the hip-hop and another snare for regular use.

@johndeere318, Do you have and marching drum line experience? I played the quads (tenors) in high school and college. Now my 14 yr Old son is trying out for high school drum line. This is the tenor music for tryouts... It's been a while since I read this kind of drum music!! I'm having to go slowly, line by line, note by note, figuring out the rhythms and which drum it is... I'm slowly getting it, but damn, that's a tough piece for a 1st year tryout!!
