Hello everybody This video is a year old but I thought I should share it. As you can see by my avatar that I am a big versatile fan and I am very happy they are bringing back the traditional colour scheme. We have a tractor on our farm from either the first or second year of production, my grandfather bought it new..... and we still use it to this day! I am going to verify the sin# to find out what number it is but I'm thinking its got to be in the first 500 made and it wouldn't surprise me if it's in the first 100. My goal for this tractor is to get it painted up and restore it to it's former glory as 50 years has not been kind to the paint. Other than that it's in great condition and all original. Anyways here is the video.... HAPPY 50th VERSATILE!!!!! youtu.be/vklD4Qh0-QQ

Well guys here it is finally! It's a versatile model 145, I am sure now that it was built in 1967 and to my knowledge the 145 was the first diesel model offered by them. The models before were a 105 and a 125 I think.... and those were gas. I have more pics but it wouldn't let me upload them, I will keep working on it.

Wow, that is a nice tractor! You should totally restore it! Amazing, that will look good with a fresh coat of paint on it. Did they ever make duals for them? The tractor would look boss if it had duals on it, but you do whatever you want with it, it's all yours.

I've only ever seen a few of these and all the other ones I seen did have duals. They look good too but the ones with duals have shorter tires so they sit lower, I don't know why that is. This tractor with the tall tires will do 30+ MPH so for it's time it was super fast..... it gets a little crazy trying to keep it under control so we don't usually drive it that fast haha. If I restore it I will probably keep it with the singles just because that's the way it was purchased, so I will keep it original to the way my grandfather bought it.

Oh, then yeah I would keep the singles on it if they are taller. It does seem odd why the duals would be shorter. But yeah, I would keep it original and as stock as possible too.

Just saw a Versatile 850 on the way to school today. Funny how when someone mentions about a Versatile tractor, I start seeing one all of a sudden. Here's what it looked like, if I recall correctly, except picture it more old and more worked: Can't remember what it was pulling, most likely a (American winged) cultivator.

That tractor there would probably be early to mid 80s, we used to have one just like that but a 750. Wish we still had that one too but it got sold back a long time ago..... estate sale..... family...... that's all I want to say about that haha. I wanted to post a pic of the other old vers that we have but I haven't had a chance to figure that out yet. It's a 1977, I THINK but I have to check, Versatile 700. I will get it up when I can.

Here is a Versatile 550 that is at a dealer that I drive by all the time. It's just like the one in my profile pic, I'm surprised I haven't got in an accident while driving by it because I rubber neck every time I see it lol, it's my dream tractor. It's not the best pic, I was driving when I took it haha.

I'm glad you share my appreciation for these old girls, most people just see an old tractor but for me they will always be special. When I get back to the farm full time and get a machine shed built I am going to work on them and get them back to their former glory and keep them inside as much as possible. They will never leave our farm as long as I am alive.
