did anyone see this thing...? I am in awe...being on console I can't have it but one element of it is something that I have always wanted in farm sim.
Instead of a finished placeable object that you INSTANTLY have on your farm... you have to provide the materials to build it in stages (mind blown)... why this isn't or has never been instituted in farming simulator is beyond me. I mean they used to have construction simulator... why not just incorporate staged construction for everything !!!!

I haven't had a chance to check it yet and my old iPhone doesn't like the modhub on Giants web site very much haha. I do think that is a great idea, I don't know how this one works but my idea would be to log the trees, take them to the mill, get lumber from the trees then build a building. You could have various types and sizes of buildings and then products you could add like doors and windows and metal cladding and different colours. It would certainly give me more incentive to do logging.

this is the way I would like to see it done as well... fell, lumber, dimension mill, drop off on site.. construction in stages from foundation to framing and various other levels of completion... this would add SO MUCH to the game.. it would force you to get what you needed to expand your farm... and it would take time to complete constructions... not just buy and place

I highly agree that GIANTS should have integrated Construction Simulator with their Farming Simulator, since you have to build things on a farm as well. This would probably make everyone want to buy it, especially people who loved Construction Simulator. I did check this out, haven't gotten to try it, looks very interesting though. I will download it and try it sometime.

Sounds like a good addition to the game as you've got to find and collect the different requirements then transport them to where needed

I really think this would add infinite playability to the game... a map covered in trees and disused fields that have had trees spring up in them... abandoned farms in various states of collapse... you have to buy the old farms and clear them to use them. The wood would then go into new construction and then the fields could be used and expanded as trees are felled.

Yeah, Daggerwin has a few videos on it. Looks like a very well created mod!! But it seems quite expensive. The honey forms in these small boxes inside a crate, and he sold a crate and didn't get a whole lot for it... He had to buy the workshop, had to buy the individual beehouses, and had to buy the sellpoint. And those were all not cheap...
Maybe over time it might be a good investment, but it may take a while to make money... Could be wrong though...

Not to drag up an old thread but I started using this thing. I had to as I've got some bees myself. It's pretty awesome. I put everything in an open placeable area on Cherry Hills including the sawmill for lumber pallets and the sell point. The nice thing is the sell point takes hives, honey, and honey milk so you can just make it all and sell excess when you get a green price on something. I figured it up and there's no money loss on the milk your putting in over what the game gives you so that's all good and the milk price fluctuates on my map anyway so I'm better off dispersing it as much as I can. Unused lumber pallets will go to the furniture factories and wood chips from the sawmill will go to the composter. Lots of fun here.

Drag up all the old threads you like preble... its great to come here and see all the "NEW" post folders. I am very jelly that you get to use this mod... I want this mod and many more like it. It adds so much depth to the game that the FS series truly lacks.. I am glad you like it... and I like bees..lol

The crazy thing is is all of these cool factory mods run off the same fabrik script that's been around for ever. I wonder if giants ever considered bringing the creator of that script on board or attempted to reach out for the right to incorporate some of that into the game. Maybe the creator wouldn't want that. But then console players could have any mod created for it and it adds the depth to the game that they have been leaving out for the last several versions.

entirely possible.. but unless Giants makes contact for incorporation it is what it is. Would be nice to have included to the game to give it the depth the game needs instead of plow, cultivate, seed, fert harvest, rinse, repeat....

I know they have to be careful not to step on the mod makers toes too much because let's be honest for PC at least the mods are what keep people coming back because they change the game and had playability to it they're going to have to step up their game for the next installation or they're going to fall behind

I think they are already in danger of falling behind.. I think Cattle and Crops really has the potential to hurt their player base and financial bottom line.... especially if it manages a console release. I think they need to look at doing whatever they have to in order to beef up playability and if that means bringing in some modders in house.. or under contract, or just to approach them to buy their work..... then so be it.

I was reading on C&C forum last night that they have already reached out to big time modders to start creating more maps for the games release. Giants have some serious competition coming their way! Plus I read that the modding for the game will be all directly helped by a team so that veteran and novice modders alike will get in depth help for their mods and releases.

Yeah that's what I am worried about with FS, I think a lot of modders who have been modding FS forever are going to jump over to modding C&C. We all know how long it takes to make good mods so I doubt a lot of them will be working on FS stuff at the same time they are making C&C stuff and I doubt they will be able to release the same mods for both..... time will tell I guess.
