Ok so I now have around 12 hours in on FS 19 and here are some of the things I like and some of the things I don’t like this far
Pros: -no more “one dump economy”. This for me was a big deal if you read my complaints about FS 17
-Buying and selling of land
-The missions are a great improvement over 17. I like that you can either lease equipment or use your own, no more time clock and the fact you have to deliver crops for the farmers make it seem much more realistic.
-The ability to customize the settings and playing modes. The fact that you can customize the farming mode, the economy difficulty and can turn on/off ploughing, lime and weeds is nice.
Cons: -Equipment sounds. I have never even really given the sounds a second thought until this version but now it seems kinda broken. At times they sound ok and at times they sound bad and it all depends on how far you are zoomed in or out or some of the in cab sounds are bad and some aren’t as bad....meh it’s definitely noticeable anyways.
-The AI. They seem to have made some improvements but I have still had them stop and turn around when they shouldn’t have or just stop and say job complete when it wasn’t.
-The lighting. While I like the active sky the lighting just seems somewhat off. Maybe it’s the shadows, they seem kinda dark. I find that the night is really dark and that the equipment lighting is not powerful enough. I don’t know maybe it’s just me.
Overall I like the game, once the mods and maps start rolling out I think it will be pretty good. There are some people complaining about the maps but after playing a bit I think both new maps are very nice looking actually. I usually like the more open maps but I am enjoying them.
What do you guys like and dislike about FS19?

I'm happy with it except for one big thing. Whenever I place a cow or sheep pen on felsbrunn, it never lets me put any animals into it. The game knows I've bought it in the garage, but it says no pens or animals on the animals page. It won't let me use an animal trailer to put animals there. I've tried this on a few savegames, so I've given up on animals for now.

Yeah that’s no good. I haven’t got into animals yet but I was going to very soon. I guess I won’t bother with them for now. I wonder if this has been reported to Giants yet because that definitely needs to be put in the next patch. I am on Felsbrunn too, is this only on that map or on Ravenport as well?

I'm not 100% sure actually. Honestly, I haven't played in a while, so it might have been patched, but that was definitely not good.

Just tried on Felsbrunn, seems OK for sheep. Anyway, I've tried to get back into the game recently, but honestly, it is still so poor. The landscaping is a nice feature, if only you could just plant grass etc. And in the shop, at least on console, help icons overlapped in the middle of the screen. The menus in the shop are quirky enough, switching between left right, and left stick, just feels like a bad UI. I also have trouble filling various seeders with the pallet, some work fine, others just don't want to fill. Annoying. Guess it needs 6 more months to fix the bugs.

I agree miura74, the shop customization menu as well as the map menu with using RH/LH joysticks kind of feels counter intuitive. Took me a bit to get used to that’s for sure. Also agree on the landscaping feature, would be nice to be able to put down the default grass. No doubt there is work to be done. I’ve only got a little better than 60hrs in. I didn’t get it until Christmas and only really had a bit of free time over the last couple weeks to play. I will say, even with the obvious issues that need to be repaired I am liking 19 more than I liked 17. If 17 is anything to go by I would expect a major patch sometime in February.

Well, over on the official board Lisertan did answer a question that they are looking at adding grass to the landscaping feature. So that's great news. But it also seems they don't have enough QA right now, so I guess the next patch will be some time off yet.
Mind you, on a sad note, my PS4 PRO finally gave up with the "click of death". It'd had been doing this for a few months, so thankfully, I'd already purchased a new 2TB drive for it. I was playing FS19 when it died yet again and before taking any more chances, I've needed to swap drives. Just need to download my online game saves and all the games again. What a task that is.
Still, I was having some fun making my own unique farm area. I really wish the placing of buildings had an option, where you could choose not to replace the ground texture though.

Click of death.....oh that doesn’t sound good. That’s a new one to me, what exactly is that? Also are you talking about swapping out your internal hard drive? I didn’t even know that was possible. Your PS4 Pro can’t be that worn out can it? They haven’t been out that long.

Click of death is normally the hard drive failing, it's when the head inside hits against the sides. Always a problem with mechanical drives. It could also be the internal fan (but I'm hoping not). It's been failing for a while, it would typically lock up with the clicking noise. The only way to stop it was to unplug the power. So I'm hoping it was the hard drive, but the pro unit does get very hot in some games. GT Sport makes it sound like a jet engine with 60fps. If it is the fan, then I'd need to contact Sony for a fix. The old drive was a Toshiba dated July 2017. But I just replaced it myself, faster than warranty claim and meant I could put a bigger drive in. It is really simple on the Pro. Remove the plastic cover, unscrew the holder and swap it over. You don't even need to break any warranty seals to replace it. Of course a blank drive is no good, so you need a USB memory stick with the last full application on, available on PlayStation.com, mine was 6.20. Download, run the PS4 and then install. Easy. Sadly, it may take me a long time to reinstall all the games. I've been working on making my own farm in FS19. Do you use the landscaping feature much? I am so looking forward to the grass feature in the landscaping tool, when they add it. For now, to clean up the farm a little, I've needed to plow and sow grass, along with textures around to smooth it out. I think it works well, here's a closer bit: So far, not lagging at all, even with a lot of equipment and cows, sheep, and pigs.

Do you like the engine sounds in FS 19? Most seem dull. The remade AgroStar 6.61 doesn't sound like FS 17 at all, I used to like that one for the noise it made. For now, I quite like the 9 Series Deutz Fahr, has a nice start and changes. Is it also a bug that with the engine off, you can't turn off the lights?!

Ok, thanks for the info on the hard drive, you learn something new every day!😉.
Yes I have used the landscaping tool a quite a bit BUT I haven’t committed to any of my changes yet lol. I save right before starting and then I do a bunch of changes, chicken out and quit without saving. I think I have done this probably 6 or 7 times already. Yesterday was the closest I got to committing to a plan. I did a bunch of leveling and blending and was going to start setting sheds, then BAM, blue screen CE-34878-0 crash! I got a reply from Lethian in the bug thread saying they are hoping to have these crash occurances fixed with the next patch. So short answer haha is yes I have used it but no I don’t have anything to show for it yet. I will say that I am getting better and more confident with it now though.
I have not tried the Deutz 9 series yet for 19 but I am loving the 7250 Warrior, it just looks mean with that black paint job. I call my current save my “night rider” save because everything is black. I have 2 Ideal combines, two black Road Runner trucks with matching Lode King trailers, 2 mod Fendt 1050, all black with matching black Elmer’s haul master auger carts and then 2 7250 Deutz Warrior tractors haha.
NO! I absolutely do not like the sound of most vehicles for 19. I don’t know if you caught the feedback pole that was posted by Lis about feedback for the sound but it was a pretty strong majority that voted they don’t like the sound. After really listening close, a lot of the proper sounds are there but it seems like they are baffled or overrun by other sounds, if that makes sense. I turned the vehicle volume to 100% and the environment volume down to 10%, I do think this might help a bit but far from a real fix. Some of them seem to sound like keys on a keyboard and raise and lower in stepped incriminates. I do know that they changed the sound from a 2D system to a 3D system for 19. I do think this is a good idea and like the way that there is a different type of sound when looking at the tractor from different angles. They just need to tone down the sounds that are drowning out the engine and work on smoothing the transitions and maybe possibly make some of the tractors sound like they have a gearbox instead of everything being committed to the CVT style of transmission, especially the transport trucks. That’s just my observation though and I haven’t tried a lot of machines yet either so I could be missing something else as well.
I didn’t check to see if there had been a bug report about the lights but I do find this annoying as well. Hopefully it is a bug and they fix it.

Is the error CA-34878-0 caused by something specific? I've not had that (yet) in my only 16 hrs play. But I used the landscaping quite a bit to flatten a huge area (in the pix) and lots and lots of blending. I'll keep it in mind to save on a regular basis, as I've turned the autosave off.
I like the 9 series start, as it sounds like it struggles a little (it doesn't), but I'm sure you know the starter engine noise I mean.
I see they added a mod today for seed placeable. Finally, I wouldn't mind using and moving all the seed pallets, but as it takes slots, I'd rather not.

So far I’ve had the CE-34878-0 crash while trying to place a shed from the composite shed pack and also once while trying to place a shed from the easy shed pack with lights. Supposedly they are aware of the issue and know what the problem is. I have also had the same error code crash happen with the Goldhofer low bed trailer. It seems with that one it has something to do with detaching the middle section then reattaching it. Both times that it happened to me I had hauled the cotton harvester, detached the centre section, unloaded then reattached the centre, moved the complete trailer out of the way, detached the whole thing and as I started driving away the game crashed. Both times my actions were nearly identical. Apparently they know about this and will be solved in the next patch as well. So just a heads up that if you are going to use that trailer before the next patch, make sure you save right before.
I turned off auto save as well, I kind of find it useless that you have to go into the menu in order for it to save. If I have to stop and go into the menu I might as well press the square button and just save it manually. That is the only difference between manual and auto is having to push one button yourself LOL.

Have you done much silage yet?
I've read there are a few bugs with the walls again, stuff getting stuck in or outside the walls. I remember FS17 had that problem too.

No I haven’t got into silage at all in 19 yet. I have read that about the walls too. Really thought they would have figured that out by now. I bought the land the BGA is on in Ravenport and plan on doing silage pretty soon so I guess I will find out haha.
