So my wife and I were on our way home yesterday from dropping off a tractor and decided to take a back road home, keep in mind we live in the holy middle of nowhere mountains of NE Oregon, and out in the middle of a cow pasture I saw a weird looking "livestock" trailer. After blocking the road to get a closer look I realized that it was an OLD forage wagon from when this area was full of sheep. So seeing that have me an idea of starting a thread on here for the classic equipment that once was the modern standard and if able post a pic. If I can remember where I saw that forage wagon I'll go back and snap a pic to post.

Good idea mountaincowboy, I know I will be able to find some abandoned equipment around too so I will post some as well.

Well it's not forgotten yet lol. My brother and just bought this planter earlier in the year and we just now got our sweet corn planted from all the rain.

Wow, what model is that? Looks like a 3020 or 4020. I will have to get some pictures of my family's JD 3010 and B. Kind of forgotten, not used much. The B is a 1949 and the 3010... I don't know...

Oh I only wish it was a 4020 lol. Maybe the best tractor JD ever made for all purpose farming. They are still expensive. This one is a 1020. I think around 45 hp. The planter is a 494a we also have a 10ft JD disc and a newer bucket tractor that's about 24 hp. So we have an all JD operation lol.

No its diesel. 45 hp on a gas engine wouldn't get us very far lol.

Oh wow it's a diesel?!? Huh, never knew that! Usually, there are a lot of those 3010 and 3020 gassers lying around, getting a tiny bit hard to find some 3010 and 3020 diesels. If you were to sell that 1020, I think you could get more for it, since it has the diesel engine in it.
Also, probably a good thing you guys have a 20 series, I was reading that the 10 series had PTO issues that needed extensive work.
